A few
good questions.
Is this an online event?
Yes. The Royal Rooftop is an interactive 3D venue in your browser. Guests enter through an event link, sign in or create a BALL ID, choose an avatar and join from a phone or computer. There is no physical venue, app download or headset.
How is the event priced?
We tailor the proposal to your format, duration, audience plan, hosting and preparation. Share your requirements through the brief. We confirm the scope, availability, playback plan and payment terms before you pay.
Does the booking include an audience?
You bring your invited audience. We help plan their arrival and experience. Promotion, audience development or a wider public programme can be discussed separately and are not implied by a private booking.
Can we show a longer film or several shorts?
Yes, we can discuss either format. Share the total runtime and a viewing link if available. We review a suitable playback method and rehearse it before confirming the screening plan. Films must be yours or cleared for the agreed screening.
How many guests can we invite?
Tell us the audience you expect. We confirm a suitable guest limit and room plan in your proposal, including any additional support needed. Submitting a brief does not reserve capacity or a date.
Can a festival or school plan a series?
Absolutely. Choose Festival & community and tell us how many evenings you have in mind. A recurring series, student showcase or festival programme is scoped to its dates, audience and support requirements.
Is this the same as submitting to Film Nights?
No. A private booking is your event for your audience. Our curated Film Nights programme has its own free submission and selection process. Paying for a private evening does not buy selection into that programme. Explore film submissions.
